I have been an artist/educator in the St. Louis area for many years teaching at high school, college and adult education levels. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I live with a wonderfully supportive husband and we have raised two awesome adult daughters. Having endured a chronic pain journey from hip dysplasia since childhood, surgery has allowed me to be in a better place for many years.
Currently, I teach part time in the Art Departments of: St Louis Community College-Meramec/ Center for Visual Technology and Maryville University.I enjoy working in my traditional studio with wet paint and my digital studio with electronic media.
My life experiences have led me to become a Chronic Pain advocate. Creating awareness about the lingering effects of chronic pain on the person, validating these experiences, developing peer support and identifying spaces/resources where healing can continue are a passion. Currently I am working on a book on this subject.
